CER TWO DAY TRAINING

Note: This is mandatory training for those individuals
seeking CER certification.
This registration is open to those individuals seeking certification for CER. Also, you may take this course as a refresher. The class is based on a minimum of 10 students and a maximum of 20 students.

- A complete review of Court Reporter Manual
- Logging
- Transcript Format
- Typing speed exercises
- Grammar/Punctuation
- Review of how people "really" speak
- Legal, Medical and Latin terminology
- Word Processing Software Shortcuts
- Training on performing duties as a clerk and court recorder
- Review of courtroom equipment and technology
Participants will begin course work before and after the two-day workshop.
Examination
Please register for your exam with Trial Court Services if you plan on attending the workshop.
Due to the exam registration procedures, MECRA will need to give priority to those taking the next exam.
It is recommended to register for the workshop that allows you ample time to study prior to the exam.
