Aubrey will be writing and publishing a monthly digest of blogs under the title of The Transcript Excerpt.

Aubrey is a new CER. She is also a MECRA student and member. She is all in with her new career.

Introduction Message from Aubrey:

I am 27 years old, have been married to my husband Ryan for three and a half years and we live in Sunfield. We have two dogs, four cats, and five reptiles.

I have had a career in the law enforcement/legal world since I was 19 years old. I have always had a passion for the legal system and finally found my passion in it through court recording and transcribing, which I have been doing for a year and a half now. I own my own freelance business called Mason Transcripts, LLC where I offer legal transcription, court recording, and deposition services around the greater Lansing and Grand Rapids areas. I also work for Kara Van Dam at Ace Transcripts LLC.

In my free time I love to fish, hunt for beach glass, crochet, and work with polymer clay.  In the warm weather I spend as much time as I can at my camper up in Ludington. I also have large flowerbeds outside of my house that I expand on a little bit on every year.

What Is The Transcript Excerpt?

The Transcript Excerpt is a monthly blog that distills the most important parts of our meetings, educational courses, and discussions into clear, concise summaries. Instead of sifting through lengthy transcripts or recordings, members will receive a focused digest that captures the essence of our field.

The blogs will include:

  • Board Updates

  • Calendar of Events

  • Member spotlights

  • Course updates

  • Updates from SCAO

  • Quick Manual Refreshers

By sharing these blogs, we aim to provide value without overwhelming you with information.

  • Highlighting the most relevant content for members

  • Encouraging engagement through clear, accessible communication

  • Building a stronger sense of community by sharing stories and achievements

This approach helps everyone stay on the same page and feel more involved.
